Marissa Lippert is a registered dietitian in Manhattan and knows great food when she tastes it. Named “Best Nutritionist” by New York Citysearch in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010, she is the founder of NOURISH, a nutrition counseling and media communications firm aimed at blurring the lines between eating well, feeling your best and relishing delectable food. Marissa helps clients lead balanced lifestyles, enjoying food while actively achieving dietary, weight, health and wellness goals. She works to bring her clients back into the kitchen, making grocery shopping and cooking healthful, quick, and simply delicious. Marissa keeps her finger on the pulse of what busy, informed individuals need and want when it comes to living and eating well.
After graduating with honors from the University of Virginia with a BA in history, Marissa decided to pursue her passion, helping others achieve a healthful lifestyle rich with flavorful food and good nutrition. Her path led her to New York University where she received her Registered Dietitian licensure and her Masters of Science in Clinical Nutrition. She has previously counseled clients and led nutrition education programming at The Gym, a boutique fitness facility in Manhattan and was the nutrition director for Mothers & Menus, an organic meal delivery service for expectant and new mothers.
Frequently working with the media, Marissa serves as a monthly columnist for Glamour and is an expert contributor to Bon Appetit, Health, Real Simple, SELF, Fitness, Martha Stewart Weddings, Gotham and The New York Times among other publications. She has been featured on The Today Show, CNN, Good Morning America Health and Martha Stewart Living Radio. She recently launched her second book, The Cheater’s Diet, guiding readers to create an indulgent, healthful balance. Marissa is a member of the American Dietetic Association, the Greater New York Dietetic Association and the following dietetic practice groups: Nutrition Entrepreneurs, Dietitians in Business and Communications and Food and Culinary Professionals.
Marissa lives in Manhattan and always makes the most of her tiny kitchen, bringing balance and flavor to the table.
